Sh. Amini summoned to court once again

Kurdistan, Iran- Eminent Sunni scholar Shaikh Hasan Amini, Mufti and Qadhi in Iran’s Kurdistan, was summoned to the Clerical Court of Hamadan, western Iran, on Tuesday March 6, 2012.

A web portal belongs to Iranian Sunni activists “Islam Kurd” has reported that Shaikh Hasan Amini was remanded to the Special Clerical Court of Hamadan city apparently over his speech in the ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan’s graduates in Zahedan two years ago.

The court accused Shaikh Amini for blaming the Iranian rulers to implement discrimination among ethnical sects and schools of thought in his speeches.

Criticizing the regime over detention of Sunni intellectuals and scholars due to their beliefs, ban on building a mosque for Sunnis in Tehran, condemning the desecration of Sunnis’ sanctities in the state media and opposing the state-formed Plan for Sunnis’ Seminaries are other charges on Shaikh Kaak Amini.

The court has declared these demands and stances ‘propaganda’ against the regime asking Shaikh Amini to prove his claims to the court.
