Condemning the detainment of his nephew and his son-in-low, Imam and Khateeb of Makki Mosque respected Shaikh Abdul Hameed has said that his nephew Haji Abdul Raheem was neither a politician nor he was dangerous for the peace of Iran, he criticized such kind of arresting by the Iranian government which took place in previous days.
The eminent scholar added more that building of mosque or its extension never relates to some one rather it invites all the people who live to the surrounding area of this great mosque to show their love for their beloved worshiping place, otherwise according to their source every one is accountable at the dooms day in the court of Allah almighty.
Shaikh explained the position of his detained nephew saying, “He used to visit with me foreign countries in order to help me in the journey; certainly every one knows that I have never met any enemy of Iran inside or outside of the country.”
Shaikh continued that our all activities are very clear to every one; we are between the excess and extremity, we neither praise some one a lot nor we go against some one deeply, but we have adopted the middle way for living life in the world.
Talking about his passport confiscation in the government custody Shaikh said, “I hope the authorities will return me my passport so I can observe Hajj, the important obligation of Allah almighty this year. Once again I insure the government that I neither went against my beloved country in past nor I like to do it now, what ever I say it is completely for the sake of the Iranian nation as well as for to bring up the power of unity. I am sure if some one follows what ever we say he never lose any thing.”
Discussing the period of Hajj (pilgrimage) in the first part of his speech respected Shaikh said that these days are the Haj’s days, obviously Haj is an important obligation of Islam, as Allah almighty says:
(And (remember) when Ibrahim and (his son) Isma`il were raising the foundations of the House (the Ka`bah at Makkah), (saying), “Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily, You are the Hearer, the Knower. Our Lord! And make us submissive unto you and of our offspring a nation submissive unto you, and show us our Manasik, and accept our repentance. Truly, you are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful); this Quranic verse points out that the first House of worship appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for both the mankind and bogey, and this great place was built by two great builders having no example of them in the entire history, the prophet Ibraheem and the prophet Isma`il (peace be upon them).
Expressing the historical steps of building of K’aba, the eminent Sunni scholar said, “The first builders of K’aba according to some narration were the angles; their building was before the creation of prophet Adam (peace be upon him), it shows that certainly the main goal of their building was to tell us that this world has been created to worship God in, then prophet Adam (peace be upon him) built it, then K’aba was misshaped during the storm of prophet Nooh (peace be upon him) then after Nooh علیه السلامAllah almighty ordered his prophet Ibraheem علیه السلام to migrate towards this blessed place along with his wife Hajira and his son Isma`il (peace be upon them), then after becoming Isma`il a mature Allah almighty ordered both of them father and son to build his blessed house (K’aba).”
Then Shaikh mentioned the prays through which the prophet Ibraheem and (his son) Isma`il were raising the foundations of the House (the Ka`bah) at Makkah, (peace be upon them) as they asked their almighty God that oh, Allah! Accept our repentance. Truly, you are the One who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful, as well as they asked: “Our Lord! And make us submissive unto you” this prayer of prophet Ibraheem (peace be upon him) points out that being a real Muslim is a great blessing of God as his prophet is also asking him.
The prophet Ibraheem as well asked that oh God! Show us our Manasik (the particular orders related to Haj) and the way of worshiping, actually the prophet Ibraheem was so sensitive regarding to the future of his children, that’s why he asked the further Islamic activities to be known by him as well as by his children, we should take a lesson from such Quranic verses that it is the parents’ duty to bring up their children in a better way, so Allah almighty ordered him to call amongst the people to come towards Makka and perform the obligation of Haj and whom Allah wanted to make them listen, they accepted and went to perform this great obligation, still the lucky persons every year travel for performing it, our holy prophet (PBUH) as well performed it, certainly it was a great event when many lucky people performed Haj along with the prophet صلی اللہ علیه وسلم, it was the first and last Haj of prophet Mohammad صلی اللہ علیه وسلم.
At the end respected Shaikh talked about the construction of Jame’ Makki Mosque and urged that this Masjid is also one of the God’s houses, we should continue our work with humility and obeisance, there fore the people are asked to respect it and pray to God here.
