Iran bans Sunni ulema to travel abroad
passportTEHRAN: The Iranian authorities have confiscated passports of some of the top Sunni scholars in Tehran’s international airport on Thursday, 21st October. The security authorities have prevented them to leave the country for Turkey.

According to a correspondent of “Sunni Online” the officials belonged to hidden agencies have detained passports of Shaikh Abdul Ghani Badri, Director of Educational Affairs at Darululoom Zahedan, Dr. Obaidullah Badba, a professor of Hadith at the same seminary, Shaikh Osman Qalandarzahi, the head of Madinat-ul-Uloom school in Khash city. These prominent scholars along with some other personalities were going to take part in an Islamic conference in Turkey.
It seems after confiscating the passport of Shaikh Abdul Hameed (may God protect him) and ban on his abroad travels few months ago, in the same way unfortunately, the Iranian officials does not like to let the other Sunni scholars to participate in conferences held outside the country.
