“Expansion of Justice,” “Dynamic Economy,” and “Public Satisfaction” Are the Ways for Governments to Survive

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid, during the Friday prayer sermon on July 24, 2026, enumerated “expansion of justice,” “ensuring legal freedoms,” and a “dynamic economy” as the ways for any system and government to survive.
Stating that “God’s satisfaction lies in the satisfaction of the people,” he emphasized: No government can remain sustainable without securing the support and satisfaction of its people.

In a “Sound and Dynamic Economy,” the Hungry Are Fed—Not the Full Made Hungry
Mawlana Abdolhamid stated in a part of his speech during the Friday prayer ceremony in Zahedan: The only way to protect and sustain any system and government—whether Islamic or non-Islamic—is the expansion of justice and fairness, securing legal, customary, and international freedoms, and implementing sound policies.
He went on to mention a “sound and dynamic economy” as another means for the survival of governments, saying: The way for governments to survive is through a sound and dynamic economy; an economy in which the hungry are fed, not one where the full become hungry. There is a vital need of an economy in which the national currency holds value and competes with world currencies.

If the People Are Dissatisfied, God Is Also Dissatisfied
The Zahedan Friday Prayer Imam listed “pleasing God and the people” among other factors for a government’s survival, stating: Pleasing God and the people is the path to the survival of governments. Every government can endure through people-centric policies, populism, and gaining the support and satisfaction of the public.
He added: If the people are dissatisfied, God is also dissatisfied. Someone who spends their entire life in prayer, recitation, and circumambulating the Kaaba, but infringes upon the rights of the people, will not enter Paradise. Almighty God does not accept religiosity that disregards the rights of the people. Allah Almighty addresses the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to sit and associate with the poor and the needy.

Governance Cannot Be Done Through “Discrimination and Injustice,” “Imprisoning Politicians,” and “Political Executions of Protestors”
Mawlana Abdolhamid further pointed out: Out of compassion and goodwill, I say that governance cannot be achieved through discrimination and injustice, depriving freedom of speech and the press, imprisoning politicians, and executing protestors; this is not the way for a government to survive.
Strongly criticizing the increase in executions in the country, he said: Unfortunately, executions have increased these days. These executions both harm religion and cause people to become cynical toward it, and they carry domestic and international consequences for the country.
The outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar emphasized: Allah Almighty is also displeased with these executions; as such executions do not exist in divine and Sharia laws. These executions were absent during the pure life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and Sayyidana Ali (may Allah be pleased with them). Therefore, I emphasize out of goodwill: stop the executions and seek to expand justice and fairness, and gain the public’s satisfaction by addressing their demands.
