The eminent Sunni scholar of Sistan-Baluchistan and the ex-member of the Iranian Parliament, Mawlana Nazar-Muhammad Deedgah talked to the audience of the 21st annual graduation ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan on Rajab 27, 1433 H.Q. in the Grand Mosalla of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Iran.
He began his sermon by recitation of holy verse: “إنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ نَحْنُ أَوْلِيَاؤُكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآَخِرَةِ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِي أَنْفُسُكُمْ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَدَّعُونَ نُزُلًا مِنْ غَفُورٍ رَحِيمٍ”، (Surely, those who have declared: :Our Lord is Allah , then remained steadfast, on them the angels will descend, saying, :Do not fear, and do not grieve; and be happy with the good news of the Jannah (Paradise) that you had been promised.) Saying that the true believers withstand all troubles; they do not remain mere verbal believers.
Shaikh Deedgah added more, ‘When Holy Prophet announced the truth, Haq, his friends and even close relatives became enemies. Only poor men remained with him. Most of the martyrs were poor as well. Rich people mostly deny sacrificing on the path of Allah; if they do so, Allah would reward them a lot. They should support Islamic seminaries.’
He underlined saying that there were many examples in the Qur’an about the true believers. Cruel people wanted to change the faith of the believers by force; they threatened them and even slaughtered them brutally; but they withstood. Nowadays, all super powers surrounded the Muslim world; U.S and NATO have occupied Afghanistan to fight with their enemies over there. The brave Afghan nation deserves salutation over resistance for a decade. Afghanis fought the red army of the Soviet Union for twenty years. They have been defending their country to raise the Word of Allah.
He addressed the participants of the 21st graduation ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan saying, ‘Do you think we have no one to protect us? We are the followers of Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace & blessings be upon him. We are students of the seminary of Tawheed, the school of Abu-Bakr and Omar! We call only Allah, noone else. If we are true believers, there is no need to be afraid of any one. We should imitate Prophet Muhammad’s directions and life style.’
The prominent scholar went on to say that Muslims must not worship any one but Allah, the Sublime. They should not worship people even they are dignitaries. When beloved Prophet Muhammad passed away, Abu-Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, announced: “وما محمد إلا رسول قد خلت من قبله الرسل أفإن مات أو قتل انقلبتم على أعقابكم” (Muhammad is no more than a messenger: many Were the messenger that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, will ye then turn back on your heels? If any did turn back on his heels,) as Omar heard this Ayah, he became silent and sat down.
He further said, ‘We should have complete faith, believe that bad and good, honor and humiliation, all are under the control of Allah. If any enemy assaults on our country, we will resist. We will defend our motherland by giving sacrifices of lives and wealth. We will not hand it over to the enemy. Betrayers have no any respect and status in the world. A poet says: Whoever sells his religion to earn some worldly means, his heart would never be happy.’
The rector of a reputable seminary in Damen, Iranshahr, pointed, ‘Our price is the Paradise; we cost more than a cup of tea or a can of oil. Allah says: “إن الله اشترى من المؤمنين أنفسهم و أموالهم بأن لهم الجنة”., (Surely, Allah has bought their lives and their wealth from the believers, in exchange of (a promise) that Paradise shall be theirs.) trust on Allah everywhere and withstand all the time.’
At the end of his speech, Shaikh called on the audience to have patience and endure all sorts of difficulties. He said that mere praying is not enough; otherwise Holy Prophet would not have gone to Badr, Honain, Ohod and other battles to fight against Allah’s enemies. ‘We should be Mujahid and make Du’a as well,’ he urged.
