Ethics Greatest Gift of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH

Describing the importance of ethics in society and its positive impact on social life and in workplace, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered good behavior as one of the greatest achievements and gifts of the Prophet PBUH for mankind.

Addressing the Friday worshipers of Zahedan, Iran, on Oct. 22, 2021, the most outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar said: “Allah has sent good morals and ethics to human beings by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The life-giving lessons of the Prophet make mankind successful in this world and in the hereafter life. The Prophet taught us the best ethics”.
“Islam is the source of morality in all cultures and communities. In fact, Islamic culture is the source of enrichment and growth of all societies in the globe. Therefore, all communities and religions are indebted to Islam and to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH”, said the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid counted honesty as a best example of ethics and decried telling lies by saying: “The Prophet, peace be upon him, emphasized on truthfulness and honesty; honesty is an important part of ethics. An honest heart is always wholesome and sound. Telling lies turns away mankind from God. It has a negative effect on mankind and keeps him/her away from Allah the almighty.”
“Try to talk less; because a person who talks a lot may commit lies, slander and false words”, he said.
“Islam teaches us to love our parents and relatives and be kind to them. Be kind and good with your parents. Don’t behave them just according to the law and justice, but treat them with kindness beyond the law and fairness. Do good not only to your parents but also to all your relatives and human beings and even to animals and give them more than their rights”, said the president of Darululoom Zahedan.
He added more: “Kindness to neighbors is one of the best teachings of the Prophet. Islam teaches us to love our neighbors and treat them well.”
“As Muslims, we must be aware about the situation of our neighbors”, he underlined.
Emphasizing the need to visit the sick, he said: “The Prophet PBUH encouraged Muslims to visit and elevate the sick. The Prophet said that whoever visits a sick person in the morning, Allah appoints seventy thousand angels to pray for him/her until nightfall, and whoever visits a sick at night, seventy thousand angels pray for him/her until the morning.”
“Visiting the patient and praying for him/her brings comfort to the patient”, the Friday Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan believed.
Emphasizing on the importance of modesty in Islam, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “Our eyes, tongue and all parts of our body must be clean and chaste. We should not be jealous of anyone. We must consider all the blessings that we have from God. The blessings of knowledge, wealth, health, etc. are all from the Almighty Allah.”
The eminent Sunni scholar of Iran considered the ethics as one of the most important gifts of the Prophet PBUH and said: “Good behavior is one of the most important achievements of the Prophet”.
“On the Day of Judgment, good morals will weigh the weight of good deeds”, Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan said.
He added more: “Islamic ethics has a very broad meaning and concept. Hopefully, Muslims have great resources in moralities such as the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet, which the people of world need them”.
Concluding his points, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “I hope that Muslims will follow the Qur’an and the character of the Prophet, and avoid the prejudice and sectarianism that are denounced in Islam.”
