Shaikh Ab. Hamid Criticizes Annexation of People’s Lands to National Lands

Criticizing the annexation of people’s lands by the Natural Resources Bureau and Chabahar Free Zone, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid insisted that people of the coastal areas were deserving of the benefits of the Makoran beach’s projects and the Chabahar’s free zone more than others.

“The people of the coastal areas of southern part of Balochistan have been living in the region for centuries whose ancestors and forefathers sacrificed their lives to protect these lands”, said the prominent Sunni leader of Iran in the Friday gathering of Chabahar in March 26, 2021.

“The people of coastal areas have endured so much difficulties and problems to protect these lands; so they deserve to be preferred in the case of the region’s interests “, president of Darululoom Zahedan said.

“Although these areas are part of Iran and all Iranians share in all parts of the country, but those who live in each region are more deserve to put them first”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said.

He added: “The current government and the governments that will come in further must give the people of this region precedence”.

The Friday Khateeb of Zahedan emphasized: “As it is heard, some projects are being implemented for the free zone and for the Makoran Development Act and thousands of hectares of the locals’ land will be annexed to the free zone of Chabahar. The people of these areas expect to achieve their rights in all coastal interests”.

Criticizing the annexation of people’s lands to national lands, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid noted: “Unfortunately, the Natural Resources Bureau have included many lands of the people in national lands. We consider this as a cruel act; we have already raised our voice against this action. We think that the authorities do not have full information about the situation in the region”.

The Iranian Sunnis’ leader stated: “No part of these lands are without owners, although they do not have documents, but the people of these lands have been benefiting from these lands for so many years. They have settled in these lands and these lands have been revived by the same people”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged: “These lands should not be included in national lands and capitals”.

“Those who violate the rights of these people will be accountable on the Day of Judgment”, he said.

The most influential Sunni leader of Iran said: “Most of the managers and officials of the free zone are the descendants of these people. They must understand that the lands they want to join in the free zone are the people’s houses and agricultural lands.”

“How it’s possible to annex people’s lands to the free zone without their consent?” Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan questioned. ‘God does not forgive the rights of the people’, he urged.

The eminent Sunni leader of Iranian Baluchistan concluded his points: “The state officials may be unaware of this issue, but provincial officials have a duty to defend the rights of the people and to accept the facts.”
