Shaikh-ul-Islam Visits Flood-hit South Baluchistan

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid has traveled to the flood-hit and stricken areas of Baluchistan in south Iran where he took part and talked in the provincial administrative meeting of Sistan-Baluchistan in Chabahar on Tuesday 14th January 2020.

The Iranian Sunnis leader visited flood-hit villages of Dashtyari in south-eastern Iran on the same day.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid is meeting with the affected people directly to examine their problems closely. He also leads a charity organization, Mohsenin Trust, which has been active in the flood-hit areas of Baluchistan in recent days.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid schedules to attend special meetings with affected families to alleviate sufferings of the people.

Heavy rainfall in the southern parts of Iranian Baluchistan in the last few days has damaged houses, schools, bridges, and roads and displaced hundreds of people. Telephone, mobile connection, electricity, gas and other essential needs of people have not been reinstated in dozens of villages.

The flood claimed lives of at least 3 citizens, wounded 4 and displaced many others.

By the order of Mawlana Abdol-Hamid some centers for collecting public aids have been installed in Zahedan. Until now, at least 8 aid convoys have been sent to the affected areas by Darululoom Zahedan and its charity organization.
