Dr. Mujahid’s discourse at the ceremony

A well-known intellectual, Dr. Mujahid, was another guest in the 21st annual graduation ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan who talked about “Family, children and traumas” in his discourse.

He declared family the root and base of society saying, ‘Family is the most important social symbol that is responsible for upbringing of children. In fact, family cultivates the human society equipping it with edification.’

Dr. Mujahid added more saying that nowadays all human societies experience the fast changes of modern technology and industries; some societies remained traditional as some others are modern. ‘There are some other societies which are under-progress like our society. The speedily evolutions and the absence of harmonization and development in different angles created dangers for the educational schooling system of mankind; people can not make balances easily,’ he added more.

He expressed his concerns over the developing statistics of social misdeeds and crimes, saying that there were not any exact statistics on the social offenses. But the outbreak of drug addiction, suicide, divorce and illicit relation can be seen everywhere in the society. It is very worrying and gruesome.  

Dr. Mujahid urged saying, ‘Do not think only others’ children are involved in such crimes, it can affect you as well. So be very vigilant and pay more attention to the cultivation and edification of your children. You must not be neglectful over the condition of your children. Many religious families are unaware of their children that where are they! After some days they come to know that they are held by police! All modern tools are in the hands of our sons and daughters; take care of them, they may misuse them.’

He pointed that some people think their children progress as they themselves developed, and there is no any problem. It should be kept in mind that human beings do not develop mentally and there is no any rain of completeness! There must be any plan for this matter. Human being is very vulnerable; sons of Adam need to be cared, upbrought and nourished. As Adam, peace be upon him, committed a mistake, his off-spring can do so as well.

Mujahid called on parents to not be careless over dropout of their children. Parents should take care of children; they are like plants, they need daily care. ‘Children need to be loved by you. Mankind always needs love; love your children before they demand it from some where else and by illicit ways. Lake of love in any family is a reason which leads children to misguidance. In such circumstances, youth accept SMS and phone’s love requests. Such children can be hunt by a simple smile!’ he further said.  

He reasoned some great sayings of Holy Prophet, peace & blessings be upon him, saying, ‘There are many wonderful Ahadith suggesting that holy Prophet used to love children a lot. Sayyidah Ayisha, may Allah be pleased with her, narrated that Holy Prophet used to kiss Hasan and Hussein, his grandsons. Once he was kissing them, a man said, ‘I have ten children and I have never kissed any of them.’ Holy Prophet said, ‘The one who does not have mercy, will not get mercy.’

Dr. asked parents and elders of family to have balance in their behavior. He said that observation of children should be in a respectful way without insulting them. Teach them to say “No” in some situations.

He addressed the graduates at the end of his speech and said, ‘You have the responsibility of upbringing society. You want to reform people; so you should be aware of topical issues and know the language of modern era. Extend your communication and do not be afraid of social misdeeds if you are enough equipped with purifying tools. At nights remember Allah and call on people towards goodness in days.’

‘Now, mothers, sisters and daughters are not limited to homes, they are active in public places and different fields and departments. So make plans to bring them to Islamic centers so they would develop evenly. There must be a balance; mothers are the first teachers of mankind. So their edification and education are very necessary,’ he concluded.
