Unauthorized US strike kills 4 Pakistanis
drone-attackFour people have been killed in a non-UN-sanctioned US drone attack in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region only hours after another US drone attack had killed four people.

Pakistani security officials confirmed the US drone attack in the town of Aziz Khen and the death toll late on Friday, AFP reported.
The US frequently carries out such attacks on Pakistan’s tribal areas.
The aerial assaults, initiated by former US President George W. Bush, have been escalated under President Barack Obama.
Washington claims the airstrikes target militants, but most of the attacks result in civilian casualties.
Since August 2008, about one thousand people have died in about 100 attacks by US drones. Over 90 percent of the victims were civilians.
The issue of civilian casualties has strained relations between Islamabad and Washington, with the Pakistani government repeatedly objecting to the attacks.
US drones frequently targeted South and North Waziristan of the Pakistani tribal areas.
However, Pakistani officials believe that the militants have shifted their operations from Waziristan and the Orakzai Agency to the Kurram Agency.
