During Muharram Mourning Take Care of Sanctities’ Respect

The outstanding Iranian Sunni leader alluded to the arrival of the first lunar month, Muharram of 1437 (2015), and warned mourners on profaning of the sacred tenets of Islamic sects during mourning rituals.

“SunniOnline” reports, the Friday imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said, “The Shia Muslims may think their Sunni brothers do not respect and love the Households of the Prophet and they are heedless about them, while Sunnis love the households of the Prophet, peace be upon him, as they adopt their names for their children.”
“The love of Ali, Fatimah and their children, may Allah be pleased with them, is the part of our faith. The love of the companions as well as the Households is a part of Sunnis’ faith”, he underlined.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan pointed out to the tenets of the Sunni Muslims about some issues and said, “We are not heedless about the Households as some people blame. The fact is that the followers of every juridical school act on their tenets. There are some differences in juridical issues and Sunnis do not believe in some things like the other sects.”
“Respecting the Households of the Prophet is a mutual belief between Shias and Sunnis. But every sect acts according to its tenets; thus we as Sunni Muslims do not dress in black because their jurisprudence does not permit them. Even they do not dress black cloths to mourn their deceased dears,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid added more.
Urging on avoidance from sectarian disputes, he emphasized, “There must not be sectarian disputes among Muslims. We expect all should respect the sanctities of each other; Shia Muslims should perform their mourning processions and meetings in a way to disappoint the enemies of Islam who just await chances to create sectarian disputes.”
The Friday imam of Sunnis expressed his hope that Shia mourners may perform their ritual worships of Muharram peacefully in the province and other parts of the world.

Unity & fraternity of Muslims, a divine order
In another part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid welcomed the members of “Ummat-e-Waahedah caravan”, a NGO works to boost unity between Shias and Sunnis in Iran, who were present in the Sunnis’ gathering for the Friday prayers in Zahedan. He said, “Although there is no any much attention for a ‘unity campaign, but it is the best thing Muslims need and they must give importance to unity. Unity and fraternity are the orders of the Almighty.”

The pilgrims must abide with the purposes of Hajj
The Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan welcomed the pilgrims in the final part of his speech and said, “We pray to Allah to accept the pilgrimage of our respectable pilgrims. They should continue their good deeds and abide with the philosophy of Hajj. We are so sorry for the losses the pilgrims had in Hajj and hope to not see such incidents in future.”
At the end of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on the audience to have body exercises as it is the corner stone for a healthy spirit.
“A healthy soul is in a healthy body. At least there must be exercise of walking every day. Men, women, old and young people should exercise in accordance with their particular conditions,” he concluded.

Religious Muslims have many enemies
In the first part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said, “Islam is the biggest blessing of Allah. As acting upon the commands of Islam is against the will and Satan, so the Almighty has asked the believers to resist and fight with the conspiracies of the enemies.”
“When you worship the only Lord, human and unseen Satans will plan to misguide you and destroy you finally. Exercising Muslims are the enemies of Satan. Satan shows its enmity in different ways to such Muslims and human beings.”
He added more, “In the history, the prophets and exercising people were oppressed and some of them were martyred. Three of the Guided Caliphs were martyred too.”
The member of the MWL said, “The grandson of the Prophet, Hussein bin Ali, may Allah be pleased with them, also was martyred along with his comrades in Karbala desert. The killers of Hussein and his comrades were claiming to be Muslims. They martyred the grandson of the Prophet and they did not know it would be a curse for them until the Judgment Day.”
“There are many Muslims who are the cause for our pride. On the other hand, some other Muslims are shame on the humanity; the killers of Hussein were also such stains on the face of humanity. There are some people today who are shame to humanity and Muslims around the world”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined.

Hussein bin Ali was not martyred for the mean world
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan alluded to the uprising of Hussein bin Ali and said, “Hussein, may Allah be pleased with him, did not rise for the temporary world and government; his martyrdom was not for the mean world but for justice. He was aware of his responsibilities about the religion and Ummah. Hussein gave us the lesson of freedom and sacrifice.”
