Shaikh al-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the opening ceremony of the Qur’an Translation and Exegesis course at Darululoom Zahedan, held at the Makki Grand Mosque, referred to the Holy Qur’an as the best and most valuable asset of Muslims. Stating that the cause of the problems and distress of Muslims and human society is distancing themselves from the Qur’an and Sunnah, he emphasized the need to pay attention to, learn, and act upon the teachings of the Qur’an to overcome these challenges.
Summer Vacation is the Best Opportunity to Participate in Qur’anic Classes / Special Attention Should be Paid to Qur’an Teaching in Summer Classes
According to the official news portal of the Office of the Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid began his speech by referring to the Qur’an translation and exegesis course held at Darululoom Zahedan during the summer vacation, saying: Summer vacation is the best opportunity to participate in the Qur’an exegesis classes. During this season, schools and universities are closed, and students can easily attend such classes. You have made the best choice by attending this class. Fortunate are those who plan for themselves during these two months and find the opportunity to become familiar with the meanings and concepts of the Qur’an.
He further emphasized the importance of focusing on Qur’anic education, translation, and exegesis, adding: My advice to everyone is to pay special attention to learning the Qur’an in summer classes so that everyone can learn the Qur’an and benefit from its recitation, meanings, and concepts, because the Qur’an is a book of light, counsel, guidance, and one of the most valuable assets a human being can possess.
The Qur’an is a Comprehensive and Guiding Book that Leads Mankind to Bliss in this World and the Hereafter
The president of Darululoom Zahedan further noted: The Noble Qur’an is the book of guidance and the final divine book. With the revelation of the Qur’an, the era of previous heavenly books came to an end. This book is comprehensive and confirms the past divine scriptures.
He said: The Qur’an is the realization of the prophecies of previous books, and God has foretold it many times in past scriptures. The Qur’an is the last window of salvation for seekers of truth and bliss. This book is truth itself and is the only path to salvation and reaching God. Through the Qur’an, humans can easily achieve happiness in this world and the afterlife.

He added: The Qur’an is a divine miracle and a boundless ocean that has no shore. When all the commentators and geniuses of the world studied this book, by their own admission, they only grasped a fraction of its knowledge, extracted some jewels from it, and presented them to the world. Undoubtedly, this sea is full of jewels, and anyone who dives into it can obtain a gem and gift it to humanity.
Distancing from the Qur’an and Sunnah is the Reason for the Distress and Problems of Muslims
The Friday Imam of Zahedan considered the reason for many of the anxieties and problems of the Muslim nation to be their distance from the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), and noted: No book is as influential as the Qur’an. The reason for all these challenges and problems in human life is distancing oneself from the Qur’an and the lifestyle of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). The education, practice, and lifestyle of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is called Sunnah, and this asset is available to the Islamic Ummah today. The Qur’an is another asset in the hands of Muslims. As long as the Islamic Ummah holds firmly to the Qur’an and Sunnah and considers them valuable and important, it will never go astray. The Qur’an speaks on all aspects of life, and all the needs for guidance are found within it.
The Proof of the Qur’an’s Truthfulness is the Qur’an Itself
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid then pointed to the inability of the people of the world to produce a book like the Qur’an, and said: The Qur’an itself is the proof of its own truthfulness. Billions are spent in the world on anti-Qur’anic programs and opposing the truth, but why instead doesn’t anyone bring something like the Qur’an or even a chapter or verse similar to it to present to the world? There is such a miracle in the Qur’an that no one has the power to bring anything like it. If such a thing were possible, the first audience would have been the eloquent speakers and poets of the era of revelation, who failed to do so.
The Qur’an is the Best and Most Valuable Heritage of Muslims
The president of Darululoom Zahedan further reminded: The recitation, exegesis, translation, verses, and all the words of the Qur’an are beautiful and special, and this is one of the unique characteristics of the Qur’an. The disjointed letters (Huruf al-Muqatta’at) are the evidence document of the Qur’an and are considered the highest authority, and there is no document like them in the world.
He added: Nations are proud of their cultural heritage and spend heavily to preserve it, while the Qur’an is the best heritage of Muslims and far more valuable than other heritages. Whoever possesses this treasure will achieve salvation.
We Should Recite the Qur’an Abundantly and Ponder Over its Verses
The Friday Imam of Zahedan further emphasized the recitation and contemplation of the verses of the Qur’an, saying: It is necessary for us to recite the Qur’an a lot and contemplate its verses; blessings will certainly come into our lives.
He continued: The Qur’an is a heavy word (Qawlan Thaqila). Reciting it is heavy on the soul, and listening to it places an even greater weight on the soul. For this reason, the reward for listening to the Qur’an is greater than reciting it.

At the end of his speech, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid referred to the method of teaching the Qur’an by Mawlana Abdol-Ghani Badri, and said: The lesson of Mawlana Badri (may Allah protect him) is special and exceptional. His power of explanation is high, repetition in his words is minimal, his expression is eloquent, and his mastery over the lesson is very high. He has years of experience, and during these two months, he frees himself from any preoccupation, studies, and prepares fully for teaching the exegesis of the Qur’an. May Allah Almighty accept his efforts and increase his success.
