Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Banned from Hajj

The officials of the Ministry of Intelligence have announced that Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, a leading Sunni scholar in Iran, is not allowed to go on Hajj this year.
The Website of the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan reported that the officials of the Ministry of Intelligence have informed Shaikh Abdol-Hamid that he cannot travel for the spiritual journey of Hajj this year.
“According to previous planning and registration, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid was going to travel for Hajj, but because of the opposition of the state, he is not able to participate in this spiritual ceremony,” the source added.
