Summoning Three Sunni Baloch Scholars to the Intelligence Office in Raask

Amid growing security pressure and the pursuit of Sunni Baloch scholars, three clerics and religious scholars were summoned to the Intelligence Office in the city of Raask in recent days.
Molavi Yousof Sarbazi and Molavi Abdolraouf Mehranzahi, both teachers at the Manba’-ul-Uloom Islamic school in the village of Kuh Van, and Mawlana Mohammad Amin Askani, the director of the Anwar al-Haramain religious school in the village of Pashamag in the county of Sarbaz.
According to reports, Molavi Yousof Sarbazi went to the Intelligence Office on Sunday, August 9, 2026, after receiving a summons by telephone. He was interrogated for approximately two hours, without being given a clear explanation of the exact reasons for the summons or the subjects discussed during the interrogation.
Molavi Yousof Sarbazi, who previously served as the internal director of Manba’-ul-Uloom Islamic school, has been summoned and interrogated by security agencies several times over the past few years.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Molavi Abdolraouf Mehranzahi, a former teacher at the same religious school, was summoned on Monday, August 10, 2026, to the Intelligence Office in Rask, where he underwent four hours of interrogation.
As for Mawlana Mohammad Amin Askani, he received a summons by telephone instructing him to appear before the security authorities on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
Some sources suggest that his summons may be related to his support for Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, the Sunni Friday prayer Imam of Zahedan and the most outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar, as well as his criticism of the Supreme Leader’s representative in Sistan and Baluchestan, particularly following the latter’s recent remarks against Mawlana Abdol-Hamid.
