Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Condemns Kunduz Terrorist Attack

Referring to a suicide bomb attack on a Shiite mosque in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz on Friday Sep 8, 2021, that killed and injured dozens of people, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader decried the attack calling it ‘inhumane and illegal’.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid’s official website published his statement that suggests: “The terrorist attack on the Shiite brothers’ mosque in Kunduz, Afghanistan was very painful.”
“The blast, which left dozens of people dead and wounded, was inhumane and illegal [according to Islamic laws]”, said the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan.
He added: “Such attacks, which mostly target Afghanistan’s religious centers, are carried out by Afghanistan’s enemies”.
“I hope that the new Afghan government will be successful in fighting against the factors of insecurity in Afghanistan”, said the president of Darululoom Zahedan.
“I ask Allah for immediate healing for the wounded and reward and patience for the survivors”, he expressed his sympathy and condolences with the people of Afghanistan.
