The security forces of Hormozgan province have detained rector of Sunni Islamic school and his two colleagues yesterday, 17th Oct. 2018, in Qalmoui village of Seerik county, next to Iranian Balochistan.
SunniOnline reported, some local sources informed that the security forces had seized the seminary of Ta’leem-ul-Qur’an before arresting Molawi Hashem Ja’farzadeh (rector of the seminary), Molawi Ahmad Qalandari and Molawi Ayyoub Ahmadi.
Some reports suggest Molawi Ahmad Qalandari was released hours later, but two other scholars are still in the control of security forces.
The forces searched the detained scholars’’ houses. They took some of their books.
The local sources told “SunniOnline” the forces also searched the library and some offices of Ta’leem-ul-Qur’an seminary where they detained computers and some books.
A group of famous Sunni scholars of Jaask, Seerik and Minab counties met the city governor of Seerik twice protesting the incident. They asked immediate release of scholars and condemned it.
Ta’leem-ul-Qur’an is one of the good and active seminaries of the southern Iran where mainly Baloch Sunni community lives.
