Tens of thousands worshipers in Zahedan offered Eid prayers on Wednesday morning, 22 August 2018, in the central Mosalla of the Sunni community.
In the absence of Shaikh Ab. Hamid, his assistant Mawlana Abdol-Ghani Badri talked to the worshipers and led the congregation of the Eid prayers.
He began his speech before the prayers by the holy verses of the chapter Saaffat, 99-109, and said: “Muslims have two Eids which come at the end of some special worships; Eid al-Fitr is after Ramadan and Eid al-Adha is after the end of Hajj days.”
“Before Eid al-Fitr we have to pay donation of Fitr/Sadaqat-ul-Fitr and after Eid al-Adha we slaughter any livestock animal for the sake of Allah,” the senior Tafseer and Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan said.
He went on to shed light on the message of Eid al-Adha and said: “This Eid is dedicated to the prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, who sacrificed his soul for Tawheed and wealth for the guests and son for the Almighty. The Quran urges both of them, the son and his father, had submitted. Submission before all divine commands is the message for us.”
“The religion of Islam is not limited to some actual worships, rather is has a wider meaning and includes ethic codes, tenets, mutual behavior, deals and politics. All of them should be in accordance with the orders of Allah Almighty. Politicians should not prefer anyone just because of the race, creed or sect,” the interim Khateeb of Sunnis added more.
At the end of his speech, Mawlana Badri called on the audience to take care of people’s rights and at least do not harm anyone by act or tongue.
