The most influential Iranian Sunni leader has denounced the suicide attack on an election campaign in Mastung district of Balochistan, Pakistan and expressed his sympathy and deep condolences to the victims’ families.
The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid’s office has published the text of his statement.
He said: “A deadly suicide attack took lives of more than 120 people near the capital of Balochistan province of Pakistan and left dozens wounded. It made me really sorrowful.”
“Targeting unarmed civilians is not acceptable in any religion and regulation,” president of Darululoom Zahedan emphasized.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid decried the attack and said: “I condemn such outrageous acts of extremists and ask the Almighty for full forgiveness of the deceased ones and immediate cure of wounded people and patience and rewards for their families.”
It is noteworthy, according to the official statistics, more than 120 civilians lost their lives in a suicide attack took place during election campaign of Siraj Raisani in Mastung, Pakistan.
