French Diplomates Visit Grand Makki Mosque

A delegation of French diplomates based in Tehran visited Grand Makki mosque yesterday 6th May, 2018.
SunniOnline reports, the French delegation headed by the Second Counselor of the Political Chancellery in French embassy. A number of provincial authorities also accompanied the delegation where they met president of Darululoom Zahedan and Friday imam of Grand Makki mosque at his home.
The French diplomates expressed their happiness and surprise from architecture and grandeur while visiting different parts of the mosque. They admired the engineers and architects of the biggest mosque of the Sunni community.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid received the delegation at his home and welcomed them. He said: “Interrelation of nations is useful and it brings more cognition and interaction.”
He termed “avoiding from extremes” the method and disposition of Darululoom Zahedan.
The most influential Iranian Sunni leader expressed his regret on the incidents which had taken place in France by extremists.
Mr. Vincent Braconnay said in the meeting Grand Makki mosque was more beautiful than his expectation.
He thanked Shaikh Abdol-Hamid for his warm welcome and termed the meeting an honor for himself. He also expressed his thanks on hospitability of Darululoom Zahedan’s teachers and sympathy of Mawlana Abdol-Hamid with the French nation.
