A delegation of Sunni elites of Tehran has met the police chief of Tehran and vice-governor of Tehran province separately.
‘SunniOnline’ reported the delegation headed by Mawlana Ubaidullah Mousazadeh, imam of Nabiye Rahmat prayer house in Pounak area of Tehran. The Sunni representatives met the officials in their offices today (Wednesday 1st Nov. 2017).
It is noteworthy that more than one million Sunnis live in Tehran without a mosque for establishing prayers. Instead they offer prayers mostly in prayer houses.
The top leaders of the Iranian Sunni community have been asking repeatedly for freedom of building own mosques; a demand which has been refused by the authorities.
