Military Assault, Logic of the Middle Ages

Pointing out to the suicide attacks in Brussels, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed his sorrow and regret and urged on peaceful methods to overcome on the Middle East crises.
Talking to Sunni worshipers on March, 25, 2016 in Zahedan, southeastern Iran, the Friday Imam of Sunnis said, “The recent suicide attacks took place in Brussels made all Muslims and others regretful. It cannot be antedates what would happen in future.”
“Muslims have never been happy with extremism; rather they always decry extremism. We have been advising different elements to avoid war and violence. War is not a solution. Military assault is the logic of the middle ages that has no position in our time.”
He further said, “The ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and military assaults have no fruit but more destruction. The revolutions in the Middle East are the results of Islamic awakening and most of them have roots among the masses; they want freedom and justice. Public movements cannot be handled by suppression and military force.”
Criticizing the US stances and its allies in the region, the leading Islamic scholar said, “It is the misconception of the US and all Eastern and Western powers that in the crises-hit countries revolutions of nations can be eliminated only by military action. The stance of using force is a wrong strategy that only boosts terrorism and instability in the world.”
“War and aerial bombardment cannot solve any crisis; negotiation, dialogue, implementation of justice, formation of national governments and listening to masses can end up with durable solutions,” he added more.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan urged, “The Palestinian issue should be resolved and Palestinians should get their rights. Crises-hit states’ people should be given chances to find solutions for their problems. The world powers should support them to resolve their disputes.”
Terming the Russian withdrawal from Syria ‘wisely step’, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said, “The US and its allies invaded on Afghanistan and Iraq; their only ‘achievement’ was instability, destruction of people’s wealth and infrastructures. Thus the Russian decision to pull back forces from Syria is a wise step. However its previous stance was wrong. Now the Russians have realized war is not the solution.”
Calling on the world powers, the member of the Supreme Council of the MWL said, “We advise all powers of the world to know war is not any solution; rather it creates more insecurity, vice and demolition. In the fire of conflicts, innocent people lose their lives.”

Piety is the best outfit
Pointing out to the importance of piety, he said, “The best outfit is piety (taqwa) that saves all. Do not forget, everything will be eliminated one day. We all have to return to Allah; the Fire and Paradise are before us.”
“The best thing on which our salvation depends is piety and taqwa. It brings the pleasure of Allah and prosperity in the both worlds,” he concluded his points.
