Sunni Students Meet Their Ulama in Darululoom Zahedan

Thousands of Iranian Sunni students gathered in Darululoom Zahedan to meet Ulama and intellectuals Thursday, March 12, 2015.
According to a correspondent of SunniOnline, the meeting was held with the motto of ‘Muhammad; the Prophet of Mercy, Example of Humanity’ where a considerable number of students take part in the annual meeting.
Apart from students and lecturers of different Iranian universities and colleges, a great number of Ulama, teachers at seminaries and colleges and some outstanding Iranian Sunni individuals also took part in the meeting. Shaikh Mohammad Saleh Pordel from Hormozgan province and Shaikh Sayyid Hassan from Kurdistan were among the special guests of the meeting; Shaikh Pordel talked to the audience too.
Mawlana Mohammad Othman, Khateeb and Friday Imam of Sunnis in Khash, Mufti Mohammad Qasem Qasemi, director of Darul-Iftaa Darululoom Zahedan and editor-in-chief of Neday-e-Islam magazine, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, rector of Darululoom Zahedan and chairman of the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries were the other speakers who talked to the students.
The office of Students’ Affairs in Darululoom Zahedan provided some peripheral items and programs for the guest students. Apart from their essays, Islamic songs, poetry contest inside the Grand Makki Masjid, a book fair, exhibition of journals and classes for students’ questions and consultations were organized too.
The final session of Sunni students’ gathering was held on Thursday evening that was concluded by speech and Du’a of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid.
