Negligence, Real Defeat

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid emphasized the importance of remembering Allah and considering Him in all acts in Friday prayer sermon of December 13, 2019.

Talking to thousands of worshipers in Zahedan, Iran, he termed “wealth” and “children” two main reasons behind negligence.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid inspired Muslims to avoid illicit earnings and encouraged them to choose legal ways to earn their living.

The Friday prayer Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan insisted on the necessity of Halal income and said that the failure of a person is not to lose his\her property but the failure is to ignore Allah’s commands.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed out to two main causes of negligence and said: “Allah warns Muslims to be careful not to neglect Him through wealth and children; He says in the Holy Qur’an: “O you who believe! Let not your wealth, or your children, divert you from the remembrance of Allah; and whoever does that, these are the losers”. Surah Munafiqun: verse 9.”

Khateeb of the Grand Makki Mosque said that ignorance from Allah’s command through love of wealth has some signs including the act of refusing Zakat and paying debts.

“Too much love with children and properties causes negligence and makes a person to choose illegal ways to earn money,” he added.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said that Allah is dissatisfied with the person who earns through unlawful ways.

“It is not bankruptcy to lose wealth and money or to lose a political or a social position, but bankruptcy is to ignore Allah’s commands. Negligence is the real defeat and bankruptcy”, the Iranian Sunnis leader said.

He urged that Muslims should satisfy Allah and said: “The one who dies in a condition of disobedience to Lord, without repentance, he has suffered from imminence and irreparable loses.”

“It is the time for everyone to return to Lord and to repent before the death because repentance after death has no result”, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said.

He added: “Unfortunately, today many of us have forgotten Allah and are ignorant of paradise and hell”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued that negligence is the main reason for violation of other’s rights in societies and it is the root of every sin.

He further said: “To obtain the paradise and to rescue divine punishment, there should be a great effort”.

“To fulfill our mission, we should remove the love of materials from our hearts and increase our love with Allah”, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said.
