Focus on the Rights of Ethnic Groups for Consolidation of Unity

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Isma’eelzahi expressed his satisfactory with the current situations of Iran, calling on more focus on the due rights and demands of ethnic and religious communities live in Iran that can strengthen unity.

 

Addressing hundreds of citizens in the Grand Masjid of Sunnis in Chabahar on Sunday evening, Nov. 16, 2014, he said, “Today we are going through a good time in the country and the situation is getting better day by day, if Allah wills. The higher officials and authorities are aimed to respond positively to the demands of ethnic and religious communities of Iran. The president urges on fulfilment of his promises he made about the rights of different communities and their share in the management of the country.”
A part from common citizens, some key officials, members of the Iranian parliament and city Islamic council, directors of the Free Zone, tribal elders and Ulama took part in the public gathering held in the grand Masjid for the speech of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan, Iran.
Expressing his satisfaction on the role and services of the provincial governor, he said, “The general director of the Trade-Industrial Zone of Chabahar and the rest of managers of the Zone are local residents of the province. They are providing good services to their people. I must thank the government over trusting on the children of this province.”

Maintain fraternity in any condition
The chairman of the Coordination Council of the Islamic seminaries in Sistan-Baluchistan underlined, “The enemies have been following their strategy of creating insecurity. All of us should be vigilant and alert. We should maintain our fraternity and unity in any situation. It is the view of all Sunni Ulama. We believe in cooperation and mutual understanding not separation and difference.”
“The people of Baluchistan oppose insecurity too. The development of the province can be achieved under the shadow of durable security and peace. The fruits of peace will be tasted by all. We can get our all due rights by dialogue and under peaceful atmosphere. Therefore, we decry violence, insecurity and abduction which are not solutions to any problem. Such acts just intensify the situation more,” Shaikh emphasized.
In another part of his speech, he alluded to the demands of Sunnis in Iran saying, “Sunnis of Iran do not want anything more than the law gives them. We want full religious freedom. Our youth, educated and elite brothers and sisters should get their due respect and position in the country. If officials trust on us, we will make them proud. We can export fraternity and such honors to other states.”

Rising illiteracy rate in Sistan-Baluchistan ‘anguishing’
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid expressed his deed concerns over the severe downfall of literacy in the largest province of Iran and said, “The rate of illiteracy in the province, especially in Chabahar is very anguishing. The Ministry of Education has very heavy responsibilities in this regard. Parents, Ulama, teachers and other social activists must play their role to uproot illiteracy. In this regard, local teachers and officials can play a better role.”
