Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on the necessity of the self-purification, terming Islamic teachings \u2018the best program\u2019 for purification in the Friday sermon of May 22, 2015 in Zahedan, southeastern Iran.<\/p>\n
Sunnis\u2019 Khateeb in Zahedan and said, \u201cMoral vulgarities decrease the status of mankind while struggling to purify the soul makes people really valuable.\u201d<\/p>\n
He further said, \u201cIslam has the best and biggest program for human beings\u2019 purification. This perfect religion carries the most comprehensive plan for making mankind successful. Human beings are also very valuable when they are purified and clean. They can get a high position by purification of the spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n
The eminent Islamic scholar went on to say more, \u201cArrogance, envy, hypocrisy, jealousy and selfishness are the bad habits which make people disvalued. These are roots of many other defects. Such habits are very dangerous and they may lead people to the Hell. People who have wisdom and intellect as they invented various kinds of new tools but despite it they did not know Allah, they did not know why they had been created and they did not accept the call of prophets, the divine punishment would be their fate.\u201d<\/p>\n
Emphasizing on adoption of good attributes, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said, \u201cPlanters and farmers cut overflow trees and their useless branches to get more fruits and nourish them well. In the same way, mankind should clean themselves from dirt of moral spots. As well as, we are ordained to rectify our tenets and avoid hypocrisy and associating anyone with Allah. We are ordered to adopt the attitude and moral of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOn the Accountability Day, only safe and intact heart benefits mankind. An intact heart is free of arrogance, and other spots like envy, greed, showing off and hypocrisy; \u00ab\u064a\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0645\u064e \u0644\u064e\u0627 \u064a\u064e\u0646\u0641\u064e\u0639\u064f \u0645\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064c \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u0628\u064e\u0646\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e*\u0625\u0650\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0627 \u0645\u064e\u0646\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064e \u0628\u0650\u0642\u064e\u0644\u0652\u0628\u064d \u0633\u064e\u0644\u0650\u064a\u0645\u064d\u00bb, (The Day when neither wealth will be of any use (to any one) nor sons, except to him who will come to Allah with a sound heart,<\/em>) [26: 88-89],\u201d Khateeb of Sunnis reminded the audience.<\/p>\n Alluding to the arrival of the 8th Islamic month, Sha\u2019ban, he said, \u201cThe beloved prophet, peace be upon him, used to observe fast in Sha\u2019ban more than other months but Ramadan. Fasting is one of the best worships that plays a key role in purification and reformation of mankind\u2019s self. Thus the Almighty declared this worship \u2018obligatory\u2019 in Ramadan. All divine commands are for the purification of the human soul; if we carry out all divine commands and orders, Allah will make us prosperous more than anyone and anything.\u201d<\/p>\n At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed out to summer vacations of public schools and called on parents to plan for their children engaging them in Qur\u2019anic classes organized by seminaries.
