A Palestinian teen has been abducted and killed near Jerusalem with his family blaming Jewish settlers in what seemed like a revenge attack for the recent killing of three young settlers.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“The body of the Arab boy was found in a forest in Jerusalem,” Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barakat was quoted as saying by the Israeli news site Walla.<\/span>
“This is a serious, barbaric and unacceptable act,” he said.<\/span>
According to Anadolu Agency reporter, Israeli police had summoned the father of Mohamed Hussien Abu Khdeer, 16, to identify his body.<\/span>
“Mohamed went to the mosque nearly half an hour before dawn prayer,” his cousin, Ansam Abu Khdeer, told AA inside the family home in the Shuafat district near Jerusalem.<\/span>
“Two eyewitnesses told us he was abducted by a group of Jewish settlers,” she added.<\/span>
“It’s like we Palestinians live in hell. It is very hard,” said the 27-year-old cousin.<\/span>
Talking to AA before being summoned by the Israeli police, the father blamed Jewish settlers for abducting his boy.<\/span>
“The settlers kidnapped him inside a car and fled,” he said.<\/span>
According to AA reporter inside the house, heavy clashes are raging in the area between angry Palestinian residents and Israeli police.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Death to Arabs”<\/strong><\/span>
Angry Israelis gathered in West Jerusalem on Tuesday to protest the death of three Jewish settlers who were found dead one day earlier in the West Bank.<\/span>
Chanting “death to Arabs” in the city’s Zion Square, the Israeli crowd attacked three Palestinian passersby before police intervened to rescue the trio.<\/span>
Demonstrators, some wearing badges reading “revenge,” demanded that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu take harsher action against Palestinians in response to the death of the settlers.<\/span>
Israeli police walked along the city’s tramline to prevent possible anti-Palestinian attacks by angry Israelis.<\/span>
The crowd nevertheless managed to attack a Palestinian tram passenger, who was sworn at and kicked.<\/span>
At least 70 Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli troops in the Shuafat district near Jerusalem after the abduction and killing of a Palestinian teen by suspected Jewish settlers.<\/span>
Sources at Shuafat medical center said they had received 70 people with different injuries.<\/span>
They said some were wounded with live ammunition, but that could not be independently verified.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 Palestinians injured by Israeli gunfire<\/strong><\/span>
Four Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire during clashes in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Jenin in the early hours of Wednesday, eyewitnesses said.<\/span>
Confrontations between Palestinian protesters and Israeli forces erupted in Idhna neighborhood of Hebron when the latter stormed the area and blew off the house of Ziyad Awad, who was arrested last month on charges of killing an Israeli policeman two months ago, witnesses told Anadolu Agency.<\/span>
A Palestinian sustained a gunshot injury while two others were wounded by rubber bullets, they added.<\/span>
Awad was among hundreds of Palestinians freed in a 2011 prisoner swap between Hamas and Israel in exchange for captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.<\/span>
On Wednesday, Israeli troops evicted Awad family, planted explosives inside the house and blew it off, witnesses said.<\/span>
A fourth man was injured in clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces that had stormed the Jenin refugee camp in northern West Bank.<\/span>
Tension has been high since three Israeli settlers \u2013 who went missing in June \u2013 were found dead Monday near the West Bank city of Hebron.<\/span>
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blamed Hamas for their deaths and threatened to retaliate.<\/span>
In the almost three weeks since the settlers’ disappearance, Israel has rounded up hundreds of Palestinians in the West Bank, including Hamas lawmakers, former cabinet ministers and senior members.<\/span>
No Palestinian group has claimed responsibility for the settlers’ disappearance or deaths.<\/span><\/p>\n
