If a Muslim believes in this had\u00eeth, he believes in something false. Anyone who cares about his religion and belief should avoid heading towards falsehood. <\/p>\n<p>The had\u00eeth is related on the authority of Thawb\u00e2n that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: \u201cIf you see the black banners coming from the direction of Khuras\u00e2n, then go to them, even if you have to crawl, because among them will be Allah\u2019s Caliph the Mahd\u00ee.\u201d [Related by al-H\u00e2kim (8572) and Ahmad (22387)] <\/p>\n<p>All the chains of transmission for this had\u00eeth are weak and inauthentic, though some people have been overly lenient about it and declared it authentic by virtue of the many chains of transmission that it has. <\/p>\n<p>Some people have used this had\u00eeth to support their claim that the Mahd\u00ee is from the family of al-Abb\u00e2s and that the Mahd\u00ee is from of the Abbasid dynasty. There were Abbasid Caliphs who went by the name al-Mahd\u00ee. <\/p>\n<p>The banners of the Abbasid State were black.
