{"id":2781,"date":"2013-02-25T07:53:55","date_gmt":"2013-02-25T07:53:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/wp3\/?p=2781"},"modified":"2013-02-25T07:53:55","modified_gmt":"2013-02-25T07:53:55","slug":"irans-sunnis-tolerant-unity-seekers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sunnionline.us\/english\/2013\/02\/25\/2781\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran\u2019s Sunnis tolerant, unity-seekers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/ahlossunnah\/molana-konarak.jpg\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\" \/>Talking to tens of thousands citizens of Iranshahr, Baluchistan, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Isma\u2019eelzahi described the Iranian Sunnis \u2018tolerant\u2019 and \u2018unity-seekers\u2019, emphasizing on religious freedom and legal rights of them.<br \/>  <!--more-->  <br \/>In his recent trip to some parts of central and southern Baluchistan in Iran, the eminent Sunni leader, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Isma\u2019eelzahi, addressed thousands of citizens gathered in the Grand Noor Masjid of Iranshahr in the centre of Iranian Baluchistan on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed, \u201cAll praise belongs to Allah, the Iranian Sunni community is a tolerant and unity-seeker society. Iran\u2019s Sunnis never betrayed their country for some interests. Even I heard about some people who were fugitives outside of the country; some enemy states asked them to work in their cause betraying the country, but our people denied strongly informing them they are not\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0treacherous to their country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the Sunni citizens of Iran have been patriot, they want elimination of all sorts of discriminative stances and rules. They must get their tights; it is legal and logical demand of Sunnis in Iran. Shia scholars, particularly the leader of the country, are requested to have more attention towards Sunnis\u2019 rights. They should work hard to remove discrimination between Shias and Sunnis, the outstanding Sunni leader further said.<\/p>\n<p>He went on saying Iran\u2019s Sunnis mostly live in the frontier regions; if any war is imposed, they will defend their country and sacrifice lives for Iran. \u2018We are brave and good fighters; we are not weak and timid. We are Iranians and we will resist any assault,\u2019 he added more.<\/p>\n<p>Khateeb of Sunnis underlined that enjoying enough freedom for religious exercises is the right of the Sunni community. Iran\u2019s Sunnis respect others; they have positive feelings for their Shia countrymen. Rights of Shia minorities in other states should be preserved. Discrimination does not bring pleasure of Allah. The authorities and scholars must have unbiased attitude towards the entire nation. <\/p>\n<p>At the end of his speech, Shaikh Isma\u2019eelzahi addressed people of Iranshahr saying, \u201cWe ask you to bring Islamic Shari\u2019ah into action. When we accept Islam, we accept its all rules and regulations. Never forget this point that none of nations was demolished due to poverty, but ruination was the end of all nations which run away of divine commands and the true religion of Allah.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Religious fanaticism, calamity for any society <\/strong><br \/>The outstanding Sunni leader, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Isma\u2019eelzahi, talked to tens of thousands citizens of Konarak city, south of the Iranian Baluchistan, on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 in his journey to meet people. <\/p>\n<p>Shaikh Isma\u2019eelzahi urged, \u201cIt is a sort of uncivilizing to show bigotry towards Sunnis or Shias. It is a calamity to ban Sunnis or Shias from building own mosques. Some people demand obstacles on Sunni Muslims\u2019 gathering for prayers in Tehran and Esfahan; such elements are uncivilized and fanatic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To whom belong Tehran, Esfahan and Tabriz? Are they only for Shias? If any Shia can not bear Sunnis\u2019 Eid and Friday prayers, he is an uncivilized person. If we, Iranians, claim that we have a brilliant past and proud history with ancient civilization, we must not be biased. I denounce Sunnis if they ban Shias\u2019 prayers. Even I advise Sunni authorities to be fair with all; there must not be any discrimination between Shia and Sunni communities, he further said.<\/p>\n<p>Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah alluded to religious liberties of minorities in some other Muslim countries, saying, \u201cShias and other religious minorities in Turkey enjoy full freedom. When I visited Tajikistan, I asked the president of Tajikistan about liberties of minorities; he informed me that minorities have no any problem.
