The incident took place on Tuesday in Ghazni\u2019s Andar district. <\/p>\n
Afghan officials say most of those killed were Pakistani nationals. <\/p>\n
The attack apparently targeted a house which was besieged by Afghan and foreign forces.
A military commander in the area says all of those killed were Taliban militants.<\/p>\n
On Monday, at least three civilians were killed in a US airstrike in Helmand Province. <\/p>\n
Also on October 13, at least 14 people were killed in a nocturnal US airstrike in Ghazni. <\/p>\n
The US claims its airstrikes target militants, but local sources say civilians have been the main victims of the attacks. <\/p>\n
Moreover, the loss of civilian lives at the hands of US-led foreign forces has dramatically increased anti-American sentiments in Afghanistan, triggering anti-US protests across the war-torn country. <\/p>\n
The United States and its allies invaded Afghanistan in 2001 as part of Washington\u2019s so-called war on terror. The offensive removed the Taliban from power, but years into the invasion, insecurity continues to rise across the country.<\/p>\n
