Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid , speaking today, Monday (December 22nd, 2025), at the funeral of Mawlana Din-Mohammad Dorrakani (may Allah have mercy on him)\u2014the director of the Ta\u2018lim al-Qur\u2019an religious school in Shurshadi\u2014described him as \u201can exemplary scholar and an ascetic,\u201d and stated that \u201cMawlana Din-Mohammad\u2019s (may Allah have mercy on him) thought and concern were service to the people.\u201d He urged his children and students to carry on the same path.
According to the Information Portal of the Office of the Sunni Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdolhamid , addressing the ceremony\u2014which was held with a large turnout of various segments of the public at the central cemetery of Sarjangal, a locality of the Kurin district in Zahedan County\u2014began by offering condolences to all scholars, Friday prayer leaders, elders, educators, and the dear people who had come from across Sistan and Baluchestan Province, South Khorasan, and from near and far to bid farewell to Mawlana Din-Mohammad and participate in his funeral prayer. He said: \u201cThe entire region supported Mawlana Din-Mohammad. His thought, and that of other scholars and awakened people, has been service to the people. We must continue their objectives.\u201d
He added: \u201cIn the final moments of his life, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) watched the Companions praying, and his blessed eyes were comforted by their prayer\u2014people who had once been idol-worshippers and then became devout and close to Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was pleased to see that the aims of the mission were advancing.\u201d
The Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan continued: \u201cThe Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not bequeath that people should take care of his children after him; rather, he said: hold firmly to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah. The Qur\u2019an is the Book of Allah and the best guide that will remain until the Day of Resurrection. As long as you firmly adhere to the Qur\u2019an and the teachings of the Messenger of Allah, you will not go astray.\u201d
Mawlana Abdolhamid stated: \u201cMawlana Din-Mohammad (may Allah have mercy on him) devoted all his time to study, learning, teaching, and writing. Allah the Exalted had granted him a fluent pen. He was concerned about the fate of his school and his personal library after him, but toward the end of his life he was grateful and content that his children would be able to continue his path.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Continuing his remarks and referring to Mawlana Din-Mohammad\u2019s scholarly standing, the Director of Dar al-Ulum Zahedan emphasized: \u201cMawlana Din-Mohammad was devoted to knowledge and study, paid no attention to worldly matters, and lived a poor and ascetic life. He was a model of a dervish scholar who thought only of knowledge and its dissemination, and he trained outstanding students. Mawlana Mohammad-Hossein Gargij [Director of Dar al-Ulum Faruqiyya, Galikesh] is one of the finest examples among his students.\u201d
He added: \u201cThe students of Mawlana Din-Mohammad are his enduring deeds, a source of good for the region, and the fruit of public support for religious schools and godly scholars.\u201d
Mawlana Abdolhamid noted: \u201cMy advice to the biological and spiritual children of Mawlana Din-Mohammad (may Allah have mercy on him) is to continue his approach. This is the right of a father over his child and the right of Mawlana Din-Mohammad over you\u2014that you support the school. Let the body of teachers and the children of Mawlana Din-Mohammad (may Allah have mercy on him) not feel alone; all the people and various segments of society support them and stand in the service of religion and knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>In closing, referring to the broad presence of scholars and people from different walks of life at the funeral, the Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan said: \u201cThis extensive presence indicates Mawlana Din-Mohammad\u2019s popularity in heaven and on earth, and shows the rank he held among the people and in the presence of Allah the Exalted.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
