\ud83d\udd39 \u201cQari Abdulrahman Is No Longer Among Us; We Must Be More Serious About Preserving and Spreading the Qur\u2019an\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid, speaking yesterday (Friday, November 28th, 2025) at the ceremony held in honor of the late Qari Abdulrahman \u2014 one of Iran\u2019s renowned and veteran Qur\u2019an reciters who passed away on Wednesday night (November, 26th, 2025) \u2014 highlighted his significant role in teaching proper Qur\u2019anic recitation and emphasized the urgent need to strengthen Qur\u2019an recitation, instruction, and dissemination in society.
According to the Office of the Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdolhamid stated:
\u201cQari Abdulrahman spent his entire life with the Qur\u2019an. He recited it for years, taught proper recitation and tajwid, and lived a life filled with fear and reverence of God. He lived with dignity, and at times, while reciting certain verses, he would be moved to tears.\u201d
He added:
\u201cOur responsibility is now great. Qari Abdulrahman is no longer among us, but the Qur\u2019an will remain until the Day of Judgment. We must spread the Qur\u2019an, teach the Qur\u2019an and religion, and ensure that Qur\u2019anic recitation and its honor remain alive in society.\u201d
The director of Darululoom Zahedan emphasized:
\u201cIslam must not remain only in name, nor the Qur\u2019an merely in script. Correcting recitation alone is not enough\u2014what matters is that the Qur\u2019an be recited with fear and awe of God. When the Qur\u2019an is recited, the heart must feel the presence and fear of the Almighty.\u201d
He continued:
\u201cOur lives must be intertwined with reverence for God. Look at the impact the Qur\u2019an had on the life of Qari Abdulrahman and other prominent Qur\u2019an reciters like Qari Ghulam-Nabi. They were models of humility, compassion, dedication, and hard work. We, too, must be tireless\u2014day and night\u2014in reciting the Qur\u2019an, spreading its teachings, and mastering its tajwid and recitation.\u201d
Mawlana Abdolhamid then stressed the importance of learning the Qur\u2019an:
\u201cEveryone must learn the Qur\u2019an. Memorizing it is a noble virtue and highly meritorious, but learning to recite it fluently is even more important. Those who memorize must become \u2018walking Qur\u2019ans,\u2019 and this is only possible when they recite abundantly.\u201d
He concluded:
\u201cThe Qur\u2019an and religion are trusts from God in our hands, and we must preserve them until the end. This can only be achieved when the knowledge and practice of the Qur\u2019an are spread. We must teach the Qur\u2019an and also act upon it. We must take our responsibility more seriously and work harder to preserve and spread the Qur\u2019an.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
