Addressing the Friday worshippers of Zahedan, the senior teacher of Hadith and jurisprudence of Darululoom Zahedan described the love of the Companions and the Households of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, for each other, as the result of the prophetic training, piety and strong belief in Allah. He inspired Muslims to imitate them in love and respect for each other.
Mufti Mohammad Qasem Qasemi was talking in the Friday gathering of Zahedan before Shaikh Abdol-Hamid\u2019s speech on the last day of 2021.
The Iranian Grand Sunni Mufti pointed to the effect and results of piety in life and said: \u201cIn the Qur’an, God commands us to have complete piety. Piety means fearing Allah, following His commands, obeying his messenger and forbidding all types of sins. Piety has countless benefits. On the other hand, refusal, denial, and disobedience to Allah’s commands deprive humanity of God’s blessings.\u201d
\u201cAllah Almighty does not punish His servants for every sin in this world; otherwise, no one would remain in the world. Whenever Allah\u2019s servants disobey Him and commit sins, He warns them to repent, avoid sin, and return to Him,\u201d Mufti Qasemi said.
He mentioned “love and benevolence” as fruits and results of the piety and pointed out: \u201cLove, intimacy, and benevolence towards each other are other benefits of piety. Benevolence, morality, and good behavior are the fruits of faith, piety, and righteous deeds. If someone enjoys from the best facilities but does not have piety, life will be difficult for him\/her.\u201d
Chairman of Darul-Iftaa of Darululoom Zahedan pointed to the good qualities of the Companions and noted: \u201cOne of the attributes of the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH was that they were kind to each other and loved each other. The Prophet had trained the Companions in such a way that they devoted their personal interests for the benefit of others. The good qualities of the Companions, including self-sacrifice, devotion, love, mercy and kindness were the result of the prophetic training and the result of their faith to Almighty Allah.\u201d
\u201cAs Muslims, with the right planning, we must bring the best attributes of the Prophet\u2019s Companions and Households into our lives, imitate them and respect their position,\u201d he emphasized.
The Iranian Grand Sunni Mufti referred to the date of Sayyidah Fatimah’s passing (daughter of the Prophet PBUH), and mentioned some examples of love and loyalty between the Holy Prophet\u2019s Companions and his Households, saying: \u201cThere are different sayings about the date of Fatima’s death. Our research and the most famous narration tells that Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her, passed away of natural causes six months after the Prophet\u2019s passing in the third of Ramadan in the eleventh year of AH. Fatimah was the woman whom Allah had appointed her to marry Ali, May Allah be pleased with them\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Mufti Muhammad Qasem went on to continue his Friday speech of Zahedan by mentioning some more examples of love, loyalty, cooperation and mercy of the Holy Prophet\u2019s Companions and households between each other, saying : \u201cThe Caliph Abu Bakr and the Caliph Othman tried hard to make Ali and Fatimah married, May Allah be pleased with all of them. Ali lived in poverty; when he was about to marry Fatimah, he went to Othman and told him: \u2018I will sell my sword for dowry payment and to prepare my wedding\u2019. Sayyidana Othman bought the sword from Ali. After Ali married Fatimah, Othman returned the sword to him as a gift.\u201d
\u2018The love, loyalty and purity that were between Ali, Abu Bakr, and Umar and Othman are not hidden from anyone\u2019, Shaikh Qasemi urged.
Insisting that the Caliph Ali was one of Omar’s senior advisers during his caliphate, Mufti Qasemi referred to the Nahavand battle and said: \u201cThe Caliph Omar did not personally participate in the Nahavand battle just on the advice of Sayyidana Ali; instead he equipped the army as Ali suggested him.\u201d
The senior teacher of Fiqh and Hadith of Darululoom Zahedan went on to say: \u201cWhen Muslims conquered Jerusalem and the Christians said we would not give the key of Al-Aqsa Mosque to anyone but to the Caliph of Muslims, Ali advised Omar: Go to Jerusalem yourself, because you deserve this privilege. Omar accepted Ali’s advice and went to Jerusalem\u201d.
Chairman of Darul-Iftaa of Darululoom Zahedan described Caliph Omar’s marriage to Ali and Fatima’s daughter as one of the examples of love between them and said that Omar proposed to Ali to marry his daughter in order to get closer to the Prophet’s Households; Ali agreed with Omar\u2019s advice and married his daughter to him. May Allah grant them the paradise\u201d.
He said more: \u2018According to the most famous narration, after Fatimah’s death, Ali asked Abu Bakr to offer Fatimah\u2019s a funeral prayer. Sayyidah Ayishah and Umm Salamah collaborated in burying Fatimah\u2019.
Emphasizing on imitating the character of the family of the Prophet and his Companions in all aspects of life, Mufti Qasemi said: \u201cFatimah did the housework herself; she had no maid or servant. She used to recite the Holy Qur\u2019an while doing her housework, baking bread and serving her husband\u201d.
He added more: \u201cFatimah loved the holy Prophet; the Prophet also loved her too much. When the Prophet returned from a journey, he used to pray in the mosque and to meet Fatimah in her house first.\u201d
Concluding his Friday speech in Zahedan, the Grand Sunni Mufti of Iran said: \u201cAs Muslims, we must love each other in such a way that mutual friendship is maintained. This is the closest method to the life of the Prophet, the Companions and Ahlul-Bayt. If we love someone, we should also love his or her homeland and friends. We must obey the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in moralities, worship, conduct, etc. and maintain mutual respect and friendship\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
