Referring to the unprecedented economic crises and devaluation of the national currency in Iran, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid of Zahedan believed that the authorities should return the value of the national currency by giving freedom to the people, bringing a deep change in country’s domestic and foreign policies and by limitation of capital punishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing thousands of worshippers in Zahedan before the Friday prayers on July 17, 2020, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “The COVID 19 has spread all over the world and it had no impact on the value of the national currency of other countries, but in our country, the Corona virus caused devaluation of the national currency”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan continued: “As the Supreme Leader said: “Our economy is sick”, therefore, my advice to the officials is to solve this problem with the pathology”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Every problem in the world needs pathology”, said Shaikh Abdol-Hamid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added: “Country’s economic problems should be resolved and there should be a fundamental change in foreign and domestic policy”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If we build factories and have products all over the country, the currency problem will still not be solved unless we change our policies,” the outstanding scholar of Sunnis in Iran said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on the authorities to adjust the policy, give more freedom to the people and allow them to criticize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He pointed out: “There will not be reforms unless there is no criticism. Capital punishment should be stopped but where Allah has given permission in the Holy Qur’an”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Iranian Sunnis leader stated: “Execution has a negative effect and the world criticizes us; it also shows its effect on the devaluation of the national currency”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If there is a change in our policy by giving more legal freedom to the people and by providing opportunities for them to criticize then the value of the national currency will return again”, Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
