Speaking at the Friday prayer gathering in Zahedan on June 5, 2026, Mufti Mohammad Qasim Qasemi described the Kaaba as one of the greatest and most special blessings bestowed by Allah the Almighty upon all people, especially Muslims. He also highlighted the virtues and significance of Hajj in Islam and advised the pilgrims of the Sacred House to preserve the spiritual lights and blessings gained from their pilgrimage.
Great Signs of Allah’s Power and Majesty Are Embedded in Hajj
After reciting verses 96–97 of Surah Aal-e-Imran, Mufti Mohammad Qasim Qasemi stated: “Allah the Almighty has granted us immense blessings. The religion of Islam, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Kaaba are among the greatest blessings with which Allah has favored Muslims. Although Jews and Christians attribute themselves to Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), they remain deprived of these blessings.”
He continued: “Through the blessings placed in the Sacred House, Allah has bestowed favor not only upon Muslims but upon all humanity. In one way or another, all people benefit from the blessings of the Kaaba. Hajj contains great signs of Allah’s power and magnificence. Zamzam, Maqam Ibrahim, Arafat, and Mina are manifestations of Allah’s greatness and His universal and everlasting sovereignty.”
Hajj Erases Previous Sins
The senior teacher of Hadith and Fiqh of Darululoom Zahedan further stated: “Hajj has a profound transformative effect. According to a Hadith, whoever performs Hajj and fulfills its requirements returns free of sins as though he has just been born. This unique virtue is also mentioned regarding two other matters: accepting Islam and performing Hijrah (migration for the sake of faith).”
Hajj Reflects the Repentance of Adam and the Sacrifices and Sincerity of Ibrahim, Ismaeel, and Hajar
Mawlana Qasemi explained: “Hajj embodies profound realities. It reflects the repentance and remorse of Prophet Adam and the supplications of the prophets. After being sent down from Paradise, Prophet Adam’s repentance was accepted at Arafat, and when pilgrims stand at Arafat, that historic scene is symbolically revived before them.”
“Another reality manifested in Hajj is the sacrifice, prayers, and struggles of Prophet Ibrahim and his family. When Prophet Ibrahim left the fertile lands of Shaam and, by Allah’s command, left Hajar and their infant son Ismaeel in the barren valley of Makkah, Hajar responded with patience and trust, saying that Allah would not forsake them. When Ismaeel became thirsty, Hajar ran seven times between Safa and Marwah searching for water. Allah so greatly accepted and honored her sincerity and struggle that He made it a permanent rite of Hajj, repeated by prophets, saints, and pilgrims until the Day of Judgment,” he added.
Islam Is a Religion of Effort, Sincerity, and Sacrifice
The head of Darul-Iftaa of Darululoom Zahedan remarked: “Islam is a religion of struggle, sincerity, devotion, and sacrifice in the path of Allah. When Allah accepts an individual or a nation, He grants them honor and distinction in this world. As a result of the sacrifices, prayers, and efforts of Ibrahim, Hajar, and Ismaeel, Allah sent the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and further elevated the dignity and status of the Kaaba and the Sacred Precincts.”
The Existence of the Kaaba Is a Cause of Security for the World
Mufti Mohammad Qasim Qasemi further stated: “Prophet Ibrahim PBUH founded Makkah with one woman and one child, and the Messenger of Allah (Sayyidana Mohammad PBUH) later developed and populated it. The first human settlement began from Makkah. In his book, Tafsir Ma’arif al-Qur’an, Mufti Muhammad Shafi wrote regarding the verse ‘Allah has made the Kaaba, the Sacred House, a means of stability for mankind’ that the existence of the Kaaba is a source of security for the world. If the circumambulation of the Kaaba is stopped, the world would be exposed to the danger of decline and destruction.”
Concluding his speech, Mawlana Mohammad Qasim advised the public, especially the pilgrims of the Sacred House, to strengthen their connection with the Qur’an and the mosques, maintain close ties with scholars and righteous people, and preserve the spiritual lights, blessings, and achievements of Hajj.
