Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid, on Thursday (November 20th, 2025), in a meeting of Darululoom Zahedan graduates with the teachers (specifically the graduates from Golestan province), emphasized that fulfilling the prophetic mission and reviving humanity were among the most important objectives of the mission of the Seal of the Prophets (peace be upon him). He advised scholars and graduates of religious schools to engage in spreading religion and knowledge and in purifying and reforming society.
According to the website of the Office of the Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdolhamid welcomed the participants and said:
“Life is passing. All of us will leave this world and meet God, and only our deeds will benefit us. What truly holds value is human action.”
He added:
“Our responsibility is tremendous. I do not dare say that all of us are the children of the Seal of the Prophets, but undoubtedly we have a connection to him, and we must honor that connection. The Prophet’s mission was to deliver the divine message, to bear responsibility, and to revive humanity.”
The director of Darululoom Zahedan noted:
“When the Companions embraced faith, they would ask: ‘What should we do?’ The Prophet (peace be upon him) would reply: ‘Do what I do—invite others to God.’ He never acted alone; he included women, men, and even new Muslims so that everyone would strive to revive society.”
He continued:
“When God became displeased with the People of the Book, He brought another community in their place. In the Qur’an, God warns us as well: if we fail to act correctly, severe punishment will come, and another people will replace us. God wants us to support His religion; teaching the faith, spreading knowledge, and inviting others to God have profound effects on people.”
🔹 Scholars Must Work for the Purification and Reform of Society
Referring to the importance of purification and reform, Mawlana Abdolhamid said:
“Scholars must be concerned with the purification and reform of the people. Public sermons and gatherings are effective tools. When issues such as arrogance or moral corruption are addressed, people repent and become purified. When prayer, zakat, and people’s rights are discussed, people act upon them and are purified, because all religious rulings are purifying.”
He added:
“When a person is clothed with piety, faith, and purification, their spirituality rises, and they are protected from worldly vices and the punishment of the Hereafter. Scholars must be true teachers. Religious schools have a comprehensive program to train capable students—individuals who can respond to the doubts of university students and the general public.”
🔹 Religious Schools Are Meant to Train Preachers and Reformers
The Friday Imam of Zahedan concluded:
“Religion must be presented in a way that satisfies the believers, prevents anyone from abandoning it, and does not drive people away from faith. Speakers must consider the conditions of society; they should not create unnecessary hostility or put people in difficult situations. Religious schools exist to train preachers, reformers, guides, and educators who will reform and uplift society.”
