Intelligence Officials Detain Two Cameramen of Darululoom Zahedan

Zahedan – SunniOnline: The intelligence forces brutally arrested two cameramen and photographers affiliated with Darululoom Zahedan and Grand Makki Mosque on Tuesday (June 27, 2023) in Zahedan.

Abd-un-Nasir Shahbakhsh son of Haji Abd-ur-Rahim and Osameh Shahbakhsh son of late Molavi Mohammad Rasoul were detained from two different locations. While detaining, personnel of the sensitive bureaus beat and insulted them.

Abd-un-Nasir Shahbakhsh is the grandson of Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, president of Darululoom Zahedan and the most influential Iranian Sunni scholar, who was detained near the grand Musalla of Zahedan.
Meanwhile, Osameh Shahbakhsh was arrested from his shop in Tabatabai Street. The forces arrested his friend Hamed Mohammadi-Nik, too.

The intelligence officials looked up their houses, where they threatened the families of the arrested workers of Darululoom Zahedan. The forces beat mother and young sister of Osameh Shahbakhsh while searching up their house. They took their cellphones and laptops from home. Even they smashed some home appliances.

It is notable that the forces have detained from court Haji Abd-ul-Wahed Shohlibor on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Zahedan. He was a top official in the volunteer guards of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan. Four teachers of Darululoom Zahedan were arrested in the recent months, too. Three of them have been deported from the country and one of them is still in jail.

The analysts believe that the aim behind these detentions is to put pressure on Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, who has been criticizing the style of governing in the country.

The situation has got worse when the security forces opened fire on the Sunni worshipers in Zahedan on Sep. 30, 2022 after the Friday prayers. Since that day, some worshipers protest every Friday. The forces have been arresting some of the worshipers each Friday.
