Unrest in Zahedan; At Least 2 Killed, Dozens Injured

After Friday prayers in Zahedan’s Musalla of Sunnis, protests erupted in nearby streets, which were encountered by the security forces on Oct. 28, 2022. At least two young boys have been martyred and more than 40 citizens got injuries.
This incident happened yesterday, Oct. 28, after the Friday prayers in the grand Musalla of Zahedan. Some of the injured are reported to be serious.
According to the report of “SunniOnline”, the identities of some of the wounded and martyrs of the incident have been recorded in Darululoom Zahedan’s clinic. “Omid Naroui” son of Gholam Nabi, a student of the ninth grade, and “Adel Barichi/Kouchakzai” son of Muhammad, born in 2006, lost their lives in yesterday’s incidents. It is said that some of the citizens of Zahedan, including some of the wounded, were arrested in the events of Oct. 28 of Zahedan.
This incident happened while there were no reports of destruction or assault on public or private properties during the protests after the Friday prayer of Sunnis in Zahedan.
The worshipers have been protesting against the bloody Friday of Zahedan which took place on Sep. 30 where more than 60 worshipers were martyred and more than 300 were wounded.
Teachers of Darululoom Zahedan, the guardian of the grand mosque of Sunnis in Zahedan, decried the incidents and called for the immediate detention of the forces and their commanders who killed defenseless people.
