Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Supports Gwadar Protests

Following the escalation of protests in Pakistani Balochistan’s coastal city of Gwadar due to worst living conditions and numerous security check posts in the region, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader announced his solidarity with the protestors in a tweet message.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid stated: “The protests of the dear people of Gwadar against the difficult conditions of their lives is justified and legitimate.”
“I hope the Pakistan officials will hear the voice of the suffering people of Balochistan responding positively to their demands,” the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan added more.
The famous Baloch scholar concluded his statement by saying: “The local people of Gwadar should enjoy the economic benefits of that region more than anyone else, and that is their right”.
