Prominent Iranian Baloch Scholar Passes away

Mawlana Nazar Mohammad Didgah, a prominent Sunni cleric from Iranian Baluchistan and a former member of the national assembly of Iran passed away at a local hospital in Iranshahr, southeast of Iran, on June 5, 2021.
“SunniOnline” reports, Shaikh Nazar Mohammad Didgah’s funeral ceremony was held today in Iranshahr’s central Musalla by presence of top public figures and scholars, including Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid. A great number of people took part in his funeral ceremony.
Mawlana Nazar Mohammad was born in 1934 in Daman, Iranshahr. He got Islamic education from Darululoom Karachi, where he was a classmate of Mufti Mohammad Taqi Usmani. He graduated from an Islamic seminary of Tando Allahyar (Sindh, Pakistan) where he learned from Mawlana Zafar Ahmad Usmani, one of the top leaders of the Pakistan Movement.
The former grand Mufti of Pakistan, Mufti Mohammad Shafi Deobandi, Mawlana Ghulamullah Khan, Mawlana Sahban Mahmoud, Mufti Rasheed Ahmad Ludhianvi and Mawlana Abdol-Ghani Jajravi are among his other teachers and mentors.
Shaikh Didgah was a famous politician as he was a member of local city council for 16 years before the revolution. As well as, after the revolution, he was elected as a representative of the people of Iranshahr and Sarbaz in the Islamic Consultative Assembly. In the parliament, he was raising his voice in defense of the rights of the people.
Mawlana Nazar Mohammad defended the position of the Companions of the Holy Prophet PBUH, in the parliament, especially the position of Mu’awiyah, may Allah be pleased with him.
Shaikh Didgah was also imprisoned like many other Iranian Sunni clerics.
He served the nation and the Sunni community of Iran and tried to resolve the people’s differences and disputes with sincerity.
