Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered education and upbringing of children as one of the most important responsibilities of a family and emphasized on planning for raising and bringing up children properly.
Addressing thousands of worshippers before the Friday prayers on February 19, 2021, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “We have a duty from God to save ourselves and our households from the hell; otherwise we will questioned for leaving our duty. It’s our task to save ourselves and our children. We should pave the way for our children to acquire knowledge and learn the Holy Qur’an”.
“The Holy Qur’an is the perfect proof of Islam and the summary of all divine books. If the Qur’an was revealed on a mountain, the mountain would have been destroyed. When the mountain could not carry out the Holy Qur’an, human being must be humble before the God and humble to the greatness of the Qur’an and act upon this book”, said the eminent Sunni scholar of Iran.
“Learning the Qur’an is easy. Different classes of the society, including academics, teachers and etc. can learn the Qur’an well, which is a book of guidance and it brings the mankind closer to God”, he urged.
“Think about your children, not only of their marriage, car, business, literacy, education, and etc. but plan well also for their guidance, religion, modesty, and tenets. The children are your assets and successors, advise them, wake them up for the morning prayer, accompany them with yourself to the Friday and Eid prayers and other religious ceremonies and Qur’anic meetings.”, president of Darululoom Zahedan said.
He added: “Take your children with you when you go to the religious or social meetings. Think to save yourself and your family from the hell”.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued: “All kinds of sins such as adultery, murder, bribery, usury, and bad deeds will turn a person into the hell on the day of Judgment. Good deeds will enter a person to the Paradise”.
Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan said: “Take care of the young, lead them to learn science, get education, jobs and work. Our children should not be unemployed staying at home or wandering here and there, but they should have any job and business.”
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on choosing legal ways for earning and said: “Earning a lawful income is a kind of worship and it will please God’.
“Do not allow children to be abused by bad friends. Love your children and respect them”, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said.
The Friday Imam of Zahedan further added: “The young generation is our wealth and asset, the young should get education and learn ethics and piety. Wealth is not the best property, but the best property is the faith, piety, education and science.”
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “The best family is the one that cares about the education, religion and raising the children”.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed to the importance of hijab and modesty of women in Islam and said: “Women should be modest; many women do not follow Shari’ah limits, they appear in front of strange men with expensive fancy clothes and jewelry; men are also silent, while any woman who shows her jewelry to a strange man has committed a big sin. Such a woman will be punished by God, and the men are responsible for such sins”.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid further continued: “Today, many people commit illegal acts in wedding ceremonies; all kinds of torments such as earthquakes, floods, droughts, pests and so on are due to human’s actions”.
“We must repent and change our lives, make a strong relationship with God, and avoid sins”, he urged.
