Help Muslims of Myanmar, India and China

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid of Zahedan, Iran expressed his concerns over the problems which Muslims face in Myanmar, India and China. The president of Darululoom Zahedan issued a statement on Thursday April 23, 2020 urging that the leaders of the Islamic countries and human rights organizations should stop oppression against Muslims in Myanmar, India and China.

The Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said that Muslims in Myanmar, India and China remain oppressed and are in trouble.

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid continued that despite the condemnation of the racist actions of these countries by the international community, the leaders of these countries have been continuing persecution and torturing Muslims.

Expressing his concerns over the worst condition of Rohingya Muslims refugees to Myanmar’s neighboring countries, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called for “pressure on the Myanmar government to respect the rights of the Rohingya Muslims minority.”

In another part of his statement, the Sunnis leader in Iran said “What has been happening with the Muslims of India and China is not hidden from anyone. Islamic countries’ good relations with China and India should not make them silent over what happens to their Muslim brothers and sisters.”

Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “As Iran has declared its support to the oppressed people since the beginning of [victory] the Islamic Revolution, economic and political relations with some countries should not cause our country’s officials to stop supporting the oppressed Muslims and to be passive.”

At the end of his statement, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader called on the leaders of Islamic countries, international organizations and active human rights organizations to try their best to improve the situation of Muslims in Myanmar, India and China.
