Ramadan, a Divine Program for Spiritual Revival

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on Muslims to leave misdeeds during Ramadan and take benefits of this divine program for their spiritual revival.
Talking to tens of thousands Sunni worshipers in Zahedan, Iran, on Friday 6th June, 2016, Khateeb of Sunnis began his sermon by the Noble Qur’anic verse: “شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ”, (It was the month of Ramadan in which the Qur’an was [first] bestowed from on high as a guidance unto man and a self-evident proof of that guidance, and as the standard by which to discern the true from the false.)
He said, “The Almighty Allah has specified some particular places and times to boost our spiritualties and nourish us. Worshipping in those times and places has extra virtues.”
“All mosques have spiritualties but Allah has put some particular virtues in Masjid al-Haram, Masjid an-Nabi and Masjid al-Aqsa. Every Muslim wishes to visit these holy places time and again and worship Allah over there.”
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan termed the holy month of Ramadan ‘a particular opportunity for worship’ and said, “Ramadan is one of the times in which the Almighty has put particular virtues and influences. It is the month of life and a blessing for all if they want to clean their hearts.”
“Ramadan is an exceptional opportunity as the blest people take the advantages of this glorified month and remove the distance between the Lord and His servant. Ramadan has come to get us to the Almighty. It is the month of seeking forgiveness, repentance and supplication,” he added more.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid further said, “Ramadan is the purificative project of the Almighty for mankind. It is about to make us to leave misdeeds and carry out more good deeds and worships. Good deeds take human beings to the Almighty. Donating on the path of Allah is the way and Sunnah of the prophet, peace be upon him.”
The eminent Islamic scholar pointed out that Ramadan has been a reason for the salvation of many people and it should be considered seriously. He said, “The blest people spend their days and nights during Ramadan in worships. Benefit from Ramadan for your purification before it ends.”

Authorities must follow up the big fraud in Baluchistan
In another part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to a historical fraud case in Baluchistan region of Iran and said, “In the previous weeks a rare fraud took place in the southern districts of Baluchistan. A fraud man unfolded a trap for poor people of Baluchistan and looted billions of Tooman.”
Calling the affected citizens to be calm and pursue the case throughout legal channels, he said, “We ask all pertinent authorities specially the judicial and security officials, to investigate about the matter seriously. The fraud man must be arrested and brought to the justice. As we heard he has fled; he should be arrested by Interpol if it is needed.”
At the end of his sermon, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan pointed out to financial problems of the biggest Islamic school of Sunnis in Iran (Darululoom Zahedan) and called on the audience to support the seminary which depends only on the public donations.

All need blisses
Mufti Mohammad Qasem Qasemi, the senior Hadith and Fiqh professor at Darululoom Zahedan, also talked to the Sunni worshipers in Zahedan before Shaikh Abdol-Hamid.
He said, “Some of the worships like Hajj and Zakah have specific conditions and most of the Muslims are deprived of them practically; while fasting in Ramadan reaches to all.”
“Ramadan has come to make us pious. Piety (taqwa) is a big blessing of Allah which attracts the mercies and blisses of the Almighty. Taqwa makes life pleasurable. We all need blisses in both personal and social lives. Nations, governments, politics, economy and etc. need bliss which can be obtained by taqwa,” Mufti Qasemi underlined.
The editor-in-chief of Neday Islam magazine went on to say, “Ramadan is the month of piety; protect your tongue, eyes, ears and mouth from Haram and suspicious things as much as you can. Avoid from anything which is contrary to the dignity of Ramadan. This is the work which should be done at least during Ramadan.”
“Fasting has an image and a spirit; its spirit can be obtained by realizing all the conditions. In addition to leaving sins, we should carry out good acts such as offering prayers, reciting the Qur’an, giving donations, making Du’a and remembering Allah day and night,” he urged.
Mufti Qasemi quoted Shaikh Mojaddid Alf-thani Sirhindi and concluded his points by saying, “If anyone spends the holy month of Ramadan in worship and goodness, he would do so in the rest of year. But if someone spends his Ramadan in negligence without worshiping Allah, his whole year would be bad.”
