He was 68. Maulana was born in 1946 in the Chitral district of the northern part of Pakistan. He got his basic education in Darululoom Sarhad in Peshawar.
He joined Darululoom Karachi in 1963 where he graduated in 1970. He got specialization in Islamic jurisprudence in Darululoom Karachi under the direct supervision of Mufti Muhammad Shahfi Usmani, the ex-grand Mufti of Pakistan and founder of Darululoom Karachi.
Hundreds of citizens including students and teachers of the Islamic seminaries of Karachi took part in the funeral ceremony of late Maulana Zahirshah. Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani led the funeral prayers. He was buried in the graveyard of Darululoom Karachi.
It is notable the administration of Darululoom Zahedan issued a statement mourning the family of late Maulana Zahirshah, the rector of Darululoom Karachi, and students of Maulana over the sad incident of his demise.
“SunniOnline” team, too, expresses its regret on the departure of Shaikh Zahirshah asking the Almighty to forgive him completely placing his soul in the best position of the Paradise.
