Message of Shaikh-ul-Islam over earthquake in Saravan

Following the massive and unprecedented earthquake in Saravan district of the Iranian Baluchistan, the leading Sunni scholar, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Isma’eelzahi, called on everybody to take this divine warning serious.

In a message to all, he said we must repent towards Allah and supplicate Him in such conditions. It was only His mercy that this massive quake left no casualties inside the country.

In another part of his particular message, member of the IUMS said, “All servants of Allah the Almighty should be fearful of His punishment. Allah has warned us in order to awaken us and to force us to bring positive changes in our lives repenting to Him.”

“It was the great blessing of the Sublime that a serious earthquake which was unprecedented in the past 50 years in Iran had hit our province but no one was died; it has astonished the experts,” the message added.

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah made it clear people remained safe just due to their tendency to the Noble Qur’an and acting upon the Islamic commands; thus first of all we must thank Allah, then all should return towards Him sincerely.

Shaikh-ul-Islam underlined, “I am afraid some people may continue in their negligence despite this overt alarm of Allah the Exalted, after claps of such negligence are much more afflictive and unpleasant. It is better for mankind to take a lesson from these warnings and purify their souls and deeds; God willing they would be safe in such disasters.”

After receiving reports of casualties in frontier towns of Balochistan in Pakistan, Mawlana Abdol-Hameed voiced his deep sorrow over the victims.

Talking to our reporter, he expressed his sympathy with families of the victims if yesterday’s earthquake asking people of the region to take part in rescue process.
