Lyari gang war’s prime character Arshad Pappu, 2 others killed

One of the prime characters of the Lyari gang war, Arshad Pappu, along with his brother was killed in Lyari, one of the oldest localities of Pakistan’s financial nerve Karachi, early on Sunday, police said.
The police said that three people were killed in firing incident between two groups in Jahanabad Brohi Road. They added that the dead also included Arshad Pappu and his Yasir Arafat.
However, sources told The News Tribe correspondent that Pappu and Arafat, the sons of Haji Lal Mohammad aka Lalu, was killed after being kidnapped. “Their bodies were found from Mirza Adam Khan road.”
In another in incident, Lyari gang war member and close associate of Pappu, Shera Pathan was also gunned down at Miraz Adam Khan road.
The victims were later identified as Arshad Pappu, his brother Yasir Arafat and an associate Shera Pathan.
Later, the rescue team shifted the bodies of the three to the Civil hospital.
All three men were wanted by the government whereas Arshad Pappu was considered whereas Pappu carried a head money of two million rupees and was wanted for murder, attempted murder and kidnapping cases.
Local people say that Arshad Pappu was having a support of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), however officials did not confirmed his association with the MQM.
A large number of people took out to the streets after the incident and blocked the police’s access to the area for hours.
Moreover, four more people were injured in two different incident of firing in the area.
