Martyred scholar was imam of a mosque in Badr Road of Zahedan. Besides, he was teaching in few Islamic seminaries inside the city.
Molawi Abdullah had received many threat letters before his assassination from unknown fanatic elements to leave the mosque where he was leading prayers.
Hundreds of citizens and scholars took part in his funeral prayers in the Grand Makki Masjid where Shaikh Abdol-Hameed led the prayer on Saturday Feb. 2 after Asr prayers.
Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed, in a brief speech, condemned strongly the incident, calling assassination of Molawi Brahui“terrorism” and “coward” act.
He asked judiciary and security authorities to follow up the case seriously, identify the killers and detain them as soon as possible.
