Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah was talking to thousands of Sunni worshippers gathered in the central Mosalla of Ahl-us-Sunnah of Zahedan on Sunday, August 19, 2012.
Pointing out towards the appointment of the new governor of Sistan-Baluchistan, Mr. Hatam Narui, Shaikh Ismaeelzahi stated, ‘The new governor has relations with the both famous sects, Shia and Sunni communities, and he can be trustable for Balochis and Sistanis as well. It shows the change of the establishment’s intentions about our province.’
Addressing more than two hundred thousands worshippers, he underlined saying that the recent changes in the Middle East had lessons for other rulers; the Iranian rulers should reform their domestic and foreign policies. Their laws are not invariable and revealed from the Almighty. It will disappoint the enemies of the country.
The member of the IUMS further said, ‘Unity and peace can not be achieved by mere slogans; serious and sincere steps must be taken to remove discrimination and inequality from the country. It is the demand of every Sunni citizen of Iran. The new governor must create a balance between Shias & Sunnis, and Balochis and other ethnics living in Sistan-Baluchistan.’
At the end, the rector of the largest Sunni seminary indicated to the massive drought and bad situation of economy of people in Iran, particularly Sistan-Baluchistan. He said that the concerned authorities should struggle to solve the problems of people in these fields. The shared border with Pakistan and Afghanistan is an opportunity for common citizens to improve their economy.
