Multiple blasts hit Iraqi city

At least seven people have been killed and another 10 have been injured in a series of attacks involving explosives-packed cars and suicide bombs in Ramadi, just west of Baghdad.

Police said four car bombs targeted a mosque and a police building in the city, 100km west of Baghdad, followed by two suicide blasts inside the police building and an attack by armed men.
The first two car bombs exploded at around 11:30am (08:30 GMT) near the Dawlah Kabir Mosque in central Ramadi, followed by a third car bomb, also in the city centre.
A short while later, a fourth car bomb went off near the police building, followed quickly by two suicide bombers blowing themselves up inside the building.
The armed men then stormed the building and clashes were ongoing as of 1pm local time (10:00 GMT), the police officers said.
The officers spoke on condition of anonymity. The number of casualties was not immediately clear.
