‘Reformation of Deeds & Behavior; Solution of Crises’

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul Hameed, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunna in Zahedan, talked about the importance of purification of ego and reformation of behavior and deeds in his latest Friday sermon in the grand Makki mosque of Zahedan.

He began his fruitful speech by recitation of the Qur’anic verse:
«يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ  وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنْتُمْ عَلَى شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ فَأَنْقَذَكُمْ مِنْهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آَيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ» and pointed that it is not enough to call and name “Muslim”, “Shaikh” and “A’alim” ourselves; rather everyone must obey the brilliant teachings and commands of Islam and follow its way of life. We should imitate Abraham and Ismaeel (Allah’s peace be upon them) who prayed to Allah Almighty after the construction of Ka’bah saying: Oh God! Make us Muslims (confessors) to you.

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunna added more, ‘Passing time in educational centers and seminaries is not difficult, but it is difficult to surrender before Allah Exalted completely. Traveling to Haramain is not much difficult, but living a life on the path of the Qur’an and Sunnah is arduous.’

Deducing great sayings of the prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings be upon him) over the imitation of Sunnah, Shaikh further pointed, ‘All of us, as Muslims, have acknowledged that Allah (swt) is “Ahkam-ul-Hakimeen” (the superior). We confessed that Islam is the only way of salvation by saying “La Ilaha Illallah, Muhammad Rasul-ul-llah”. So, if you want to be successful and blest, then follow the Qur’an and Sunnah. According to narrations from the prophet (Alaihissalam), if prophet Muses were alive, he had no choice but to follow Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). As Jesus would imitate the Qur’an and Sunnah after his descension in this world near of the Resurrection day.’

Shaikh Abdul Hameed Ismaeelzahi urged that apart of the Qur’an and Sunnah, the rest of the ways lead to Satan and defeat. The effort of every Muslim must be in full imitation of Islamic shariah. Muslims must avoid sins and forbidden activities. If there is any meeting and gathering in which people commit sins or talk against Shariah, you should stop them; if you can not do so, at least go out as it is the tradition nowadays. People walk out in protest when they listen something against their interests.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan criticized the usage of music and other forbidden tools in marriage parties and pointed that using music and its related tools is forbidden in Islam. It is contrary to Shariah, music creates hypocrisy in heart. Holy Qur’an should be recited in marriage gatherings; some people assume that Qur’an is particular for condolence ceremonies, however; only alive people recite the Qur’an and conduct always upon its brilliant directions. If the Qur’an, Islamic sermons and nasheeds become parts of any marriage party, blessings will surround that gathering and marriage.

The eminent scholar continued saying, ‘Some people try to show off in marriages, they bring more than enough meal then throw it in garbage can; it has become common to violate the bright rules of Islam in happiness and condolence ceremonies.’

Khateeb of Sunnis emphasized that Muslims should worship Allah Almighty in all circumstances. If anybody faces problems so offering prayer is the way to contact Allah. Mostly, people believe in tools and sources and neglect the creator of tools; using tools is the order of shariah but belief and trust must be upon Allah Exalted. Holy prophet (PBUH) used to offer prayers in junctures; a true Muslim must rely on the Creator of each and every thing. Salvation is in purification of ego and piety as well as reorganization of others’ rights.
