Key of Development; Specialization in Islamic & Modern Sciences

Khateeb of Sunni Muslims in Zahedan, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul Hameed indicated towards the reopening of schools and Islamic seminaries in Iran and talked about the importance of education in his latest Friday speech.

Shaikh urged that both Islamic and modern educations are the need of societies. ‘If we study the Qur’an, Sunnah and views of intellectuals, we would come to know that after faith (Eeman) knowledge (E’lm) is the best blessing a person can enjoy it. Even, you can claim that knowledge is the corner stone for attaining faith; some Qur’anic verses prove it as well,’ he pointed.

The eminent Islamic scholar added more, ‘E’lm (knowledge) is the first step to have an acceptable faith and good deeds. If somebody wants to offer prayers or perform Hajj, s/he must have knowledge over the rules of Salah and Hajj.’

Shaikh Abdul Hameed said more that only a person who has knowledge and enjoyed education can run religious and social affairs of people; therefore, education is the key of success and progress in the world.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan pointed out towards the good achievements of Iran in the field of modern sciences saying, ‘Al-hamdulillah, our students and scientists compete with the world in technology. Islamic seminaries have been striving to increase their level as well.’

Talking to tens of thousands in the Grand Makki mosque of Zahedan, he pointed that knowledge is biggest blessing of Allah to human beings after faith and Islam. This is the first thing Allah Exalted gave it to Adam (Alaihissalam) following his creation. Now, offspring of Adam enjoys knowledge of various things; because Allah Almighty bestowed everyone the potential of learning.

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunna emphasized that Islamic and typical sciences are the extreme need of all societies, without Qur’an and Sunna as well as modern education, real development is impossible. The West only has command in modern science not religious sciences. That is why; the western world suffers from a huge defect.

Shaikh urged that a useful knowledge leads the person to the immortal successful life. If knowledgeable persons act as they are taught, and they are aware of Allah’s last and chosen religion, so they are real successful.

Shaikh Abdul Hameed concluded his sermon by saying, ‘Equip your children with education, take for them admission in well-known and standard institutes.
